The Pack 788 service project has been scheduled for Monday, March 31st at 6:30pm. We will be meeting in the Education Building (Room 202) at Christ Church to prepare bag lunches for CARITAS (Congregations Around Richmond Involved To Assure Shelter). CARITAS is a great organization in which a number of churches around Richmond help the homeless by providing shelter, meals and services. During the week of March 31st, Christ Church will be welcoming and helping a group of homeless women. The lunches that we make on Monday will feed the CARITAS guests on Tuesday. The lunches will include a sandwich, chips, fruit and dessert. The scouts will also be asked to write a short note or draw a picture to place in the lunches.
We ask that you please volunteer to help with this service project. Only 30 lunches need to be made, which should be very easy to accomplish. Every year we get to recognize a Leader from our Pack to be honored at the Cardinal District Recognition Dinner. Pack 788 is blessed with a tremendous leadership team, individuals who give a large amount of their time and skills in providing the boys a safe, fun, and challenging learning environment. However, there is one leader who stands out as a vital part of this process. That leader is Pam; voted by her fellow leaders, verified by the parents and confirmed by the smiles of the boys of Pack 788.
